DECEMBER WRITING

We have been working very hard in our Writing Workshop. The girls love this and are working so well together! 

I expect our BOOK to arrive in about 2 weeks. A nice Christmas surprise!

FANTASTIC FIRSTS October2018

"We hold so much potential within us!"

      As we welcomed FALL on September 22 we held a discussion circle about what Autumn would mean for us as 3rd Graders. 

     We have already celebrated many " firsts" in your daughters' lives! 

First day as 3rd Graders

First Day of Autumn

First time using a new coat room

First practice day for Terranovas 

First experience as CHOIR members. 

     We are now  ready for this month  which brings Columbus Day and The Teranova Tests. We have been preparing for this time since the first day of school. The girls are ready and relaxed. The next best thing for them is to have a good night's sleep each night, a good breakfast, and to arrive on time at school. 

      You have already seen the amount of work we have been covering each day and the tremendous focus they have shown. 

     They did a great job during our practice and I will do my best to keep them relaxed and not stressed as we complete our tasks for each day. 

     I will keep you updated as we progress.   

     In between our specialized work, the girls have been busy choosing independent reading and are completing their last writing piece.... One Small Moment in Time.   This has required them to take a big picture about their choice of topic and use a " fine tooth comb" to find just ONE special part to write about.  They have worked on drafts and edited many times. The final drafts are being finished and will be on our front bulletin board. They have chosen wonderful moments!  Pics to follow.
